One of the traits of successful entrepreneurs is that they don’t stop learning.
Imagine if you set yourself the task of learning one new thing every day. By the end of the year you would have learned 365 new things.
The thing with learning though is that when you set yourself a list of learning goals coupled with a busy schedule, it can sometimes get a bit overwhelming.
So the strategy that I want to share with you today is a concept called Just in Time Learning.
The idea behind Just in Time learning is that you don’t need to learn everything right now.
Just like focusing on the most important tasks each day, Just in Time learning is all about staying focused on learning what you need to learn at the time.
So let’s say you’re about to self-publish a book on Amazon. You would want to be learning everything that you possibly can about marketing your book so that people know that it exists. Learning about systemising your business isn’t going to help you sell more books or generate awareness so you’d delay learning about that for now and come back to it later.
Applying Just in Time learning also means that the strategies or skills that you’re about to implement are still fresh in your memory so you don’t have to go back through your notes to try and remember all the key concepts.
For example, you plan to start recording a marketing video in 12 months. Your time would be better spent learning about creating marketing videos a month before you start. Because I’m sure there’s probably something else that you could be learning right now that’s going to help you achieve a more immediate goal.
